For a long time, I believed the hustle was the only way forward — working harder, pushing longer, and proving my worth through productivity. But over time, I felt myself drifting away from the life I truly wanted. I realized that this constant hustle was pulling me further from joy, presence, and peace.
I have been fortunate to have developed a career I am truly passionate about. It brings me purpose and a sense of fulfilment I’m deeply grateful for. But even in the midst of doing the work I love, I found myself caught in the cycle of constant striving — always reaching, rarely resting. It took time (and some unlearning) to realize that passion doesn’t have to mean pressure. That I could honour my ambitions and prioritize my well-being. That choosing rest, softness, and joy doesn’t mean giving up on my dreams. It means nourishing them in a way that sustains me.
This is my invitation to you: to step into a softer, more intentional rhythm where purpose and joy lead the way.
At She Lives in Bliss, I believe that a truly fulfilling life isn’t built on how much we do, but on how deeply we live. It’s about choosing to create space for what lights you up instead of just checking off tasks. When we live with intention, life flows more gently, and joy becomes a daily companion, not a distant goal.
The Myth of the Hustle
I used to think my worth was tied to how busy I was, how many things I accomplished in a day. But slowly, I learned that I am not my to-do list. Hustling without intention disconnected me from my body, my values, and the moments that truly matter.
There is power in hard work, yes, but only when it comes from a place of purpose, not pressure. When I shifted my focus from doing more to living better, everything changed.
What Harmony Really Feels Like
Harmony isn’t about a perfectly balanced schedule. It’s about alignment, where your energy, values, and desires are in flow together. For me, that looks like waking up and asking myself, “How do I want to feel today?”.
Living in harmony means creating space for:
- Slow, nourishing mornings filled with calm and intention
- Work that feels inspired
- Rest without guilt or excuses
- Movement that is joyful, not forced
- Boundaries that protect my peace
- Relationships that energize and support me
This is a life that feels like me, and it’s one I’m still learning to design every day.
Redefining What Success Means to Me

I was recommended a great book (The Success Myth by Emma Gannon) that transformed my way of thinking. It made me pause and question what success truly means to me. Just because society seemed to be stuck with one checklist for ‘accomplishing life’, that didn’t mean it automatically resonated with me. Stepping back and redefining what would make me feel successful has been a huge step in helping me define and create a life that feels blissful to me.
Living in Bliss, On Purpose
You don’t need to earn joy. You just need to make space for it.
This truth took time to sink in. For so long, I believed joy had to be deserved — something that came after the work was done, the inbox was cleared, and the goals were met. But real joy doesn’t live at the end of a checklist. It lives in the quiet spaces we often rush past.
As I’ve started choosing intention over urgency, and ease over achievement for its own sake, life has begun to feel different — softer, clearer, and more meaningful. I no longer measure my worth by how much I’ve accomplished in a day, but by how connected I feel to myself, my purpose, and the present moment. I’ve started creating and living from a place of fullness instead of pressure.

And that, to me, is the essence of She Lives in Bliss — not doing more, but living more. It’s about designing a life that feels nourishing to you, aligned with your values, and rooted in ease. A life where your well-being isn’t an afterthought, but a priority.
So here’s my gentle invitation to you: let go of the hustle. Invite in harmony. Choose rest without guilt, presence over performance, and softness as strength. Choose joy, not as a reward, but as a way of being. Your most beautiful life isn’t somewhere out there. It’s already within you.
With love,
Malissa x
